Just last week, Aaron Judge made some important history, tying former New York Yankees legend Roger Maris for the most home runs in a single season by an American League player.

He needs one more to break the record set by Maris back in 1961.

While all this has been going on, members of the Maris family have been in the stands, hoping for Judge to tie and break the record.

Fortunately, they got to see Judge hit No. 61 to tie their father in Toronto last week.

Judge and the Yankees now head to Texas for the final four games of the regular season and one last shot for Judge to hit No. 62.

On Twitter, the Yankees made sure to thank Maris’ family for their support along the way.

Of course, Maris’ children are going to be involved every time there’s a home run chase and somebody has a chance to match their dad.

It’s only fitting that they’re a part of this now with Judge.

They’ve been rooting Judge on for the past several weeks and are obviously hoping for the slugger to hit No. 62 while the Yankees are in Texas.

But it’s nice to see the Yankees thank them for their support along the way.

They certainly are no strangers to watching epic home run chases, and it’s clear that they have enjoyed every bit of watching Judge try and catch their father.

They understand what this means to the game of baseball and to the Yankees, as well as what it means to them.

The clock is ticking for Judge to hit No. 62, but at the very least, they got to see Judge make a little bit of history in tying their dad in home runs.

Robert Griffin III Notes Mike McDaniel’s Classy Move With Broncos

The Miami Dolphins made history in Week 3 as they dropped 70 points and 726 yards of total offense in their Week 3 win over the Denver Broncos.

The Dolphins moved to 3-0 and continue to prove that they should be considered a Super Bowl threat this season.

The offense has been able to tear up opposing defenses through three weeks, though they really outdid themselves against the Broncos who looked completely overmatched throughout the afternoon.

Mike McDaniel has been able to build off his first year as the team’s head coach as he has them playing their best football since he took the job.

McDaniel is widely regarded as a bright offensive mind, but even he has to be impressed with how well the team’s been able to execute.

However, he also showed some class as he had a chance to break the all-time scoring record and Robert Griffin III made sure to give him his props via his Twitter account.

McDaniel has several ties to the Denver organization as he grew up there and was a ballboy for the team.

He later interned for the Broncos, but somehow didn’t get an interview for their vacant head coaching job last offseason.

Regardless, Miami has to be happy with how things turned out as he’s been able to turn around the franchise and give fans hope that they can go deep into the postseason.

Breaking a record for most points scored in a game would have been a fun thing to put on his resume, but it looks like McDaniel has his eyes on a much bigger goal.

The Kansas City Chiefs were rolling in Week 3 as they dismantled the Chicago Bears 41-10 to pick up their second win of the 2023 NFL season.

The Chiefs were in control almost from kickoff as they were able to hold the Bears from scoring on their opening drive and then subsequently score almost at will through three quarters.

Patrick Mahomes was able to find multiple receivers open and move the football without many issues.

It wasn’t long before Kansas City had a 41-0 lead and Andy Reid made the smart decision to pull Mahomes and the other starters with the game well out of hand.

It felt like a normal day at the office for Mahomes who ended the game with 272 passing yards and three touchdowns.

However, this passing yards total allowed him to become the fastest player to reach 25,000 passing yards via Pro Football Hall of Fame.

It’s not surprising to see Mahomes break yet another passing record considering the prolific pace he’s been on since being named the Chiefs’ full-time starter.

No matter who is on the field, Mahomes has the talent to uplift any of his passing options, and coupled with Reid the two are able to find creative ways to get people open.

With two Super Bowl championships under his belt, Mahomes is well on his way to becoming the greatest quarterback in NFL history.

With so many more years left in his career, it’ll be exciting to see what the superstar can do and how much further he can take his game to the next level.
