Who’s Playing

Pennsylvania @ Old Dominion

Current Records: Pennsylvania 2-4; Old Dominion 2-3

What to Know

The Old Dominion Monarchs will take on the Pennsylvania Quakers at 12:30 p.m. ET on Sunday at HTC Center. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they’ll have plenty of motivation to get the ‘W.’

On Friday, the Monarchs lost to the East Carolina Pirates by a decisive 73-60 margin. A silver lining for Old Dominion was the play of Kalu Ezikpe, who had 16 points in addition to eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, UPenn received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 72-60 to the Davidson Wildcats. Guard Jordan Dingle wasn’t much of a difference maker for the Quakers; Dingle finished with 13 points on 5-for-13 shooting in his 27 minutes on the court.

The losses put Old Dominion at 2-3 and UPenn at 2-4. A pair of stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: Old Dominion is 31st worst in college basketball in points per game, with only 61.6 on average. UPenn has experienced some struggles of their own as they are stumbling into the contest with the 28th most points allowed per game in college basketball, having given up 79.3 on average. It’s possible one of these Achilles’ heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
