It was close but no cigar for the Lions as they fell 13-10 to the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. Despite the defeat, Detroit got a solid performance out of RB D’Andre Swift, who rushed for one TD and 136 yards on 14 carries. That touchdown — a 57-yard rush in the third quarter — was one of the highlights of the game.

Speaking of close games: it was a hard-fought matchup, but Chicago had to settle for a 16-13 loss against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. Despite their loss, Chicago got to see several of their players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. WR Darnell Mooney, who caught five passes for one TD and 121 yards, was the best among equals. Near the top of the highlight reel was Andy Dalton’s 60-yard TD bomb to Mooney in the third quarter.

Detroit is now 0-9-1 while the Bears sit at 3-7. Two defensive stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: The Lions are second worst in the league in rushing yards allowed per game, with 140.5 on average. Chicago’s defense has more to brag about, as they they rank first in the NFL when it comes to sacks, with 31 on the season.

Through two games of the 2023 NFL season, the Dallas Cowboys have looked like one of the best teams in the league though they found themselves in trouble against the Arizona Cardinals.

Despite the Cardinals coming in at 0-2 and massive underdogs, they’ve been a lot feistier than expected as they held leads in their previous two games.

Tired of losing, Arizona stepped up in a big way and found ways to bother Dak Prescott and the Cowboys’ offense.

There have been a couple of upsets already in Week 3, and Arizona has done the same to Dallas.

With frustration mounting, Prescott was caught on video chirping at Cardinals defender Kyzier White via FOX.

Prescott has been bothered by the Arizona defense throughout the afternoon and his interaction with White confirms that.

Prescott threw a late game interception to seal the Cowboys’ fate.

The Cardinals would arguably be better off trying to lose games in order to secure a high draft pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, but head coach Jonathan Gannon has other plans for his young roster.

The Cowboys don’t have any excuses for allowing themselves to fall to a team that’s projected to miss the playoffs, but it’s a good reminder that anything can happen in the NFL.

With Dallas suffering its first loss of the season, they’ll need to go back to the drawing board and figure out how they can avoid another letdown.
