Tom Brady announced his retirement from the NFL after 22 seasons.

It was a storied career for the former sixth-round draft pick who won seven Super Bowls, three MVP awards, and had six total All-Pro selections.

Sadly, his career ended on a sour note, losing to eventual Super Bowl LVI champion Los Angeles Rams at home during Divisional Weekend.

But while the quarterback himself announced that he won’t make the same competitive commitment that he’s done since 2000, Caesars Sportsbook might know something that football fans, and even Brady himself, does not.

The betting platform gave the 44-year-old quarterback +4500 odds to win next season’s Most Valuable Player award.

That digit indicates a long-shot, especially when Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers top the list at +700.

Josh Allen is third at +900 while Joe Burrow ranks fourth at +1400.

Matthew Stafford (+1500), Derrick Henry (+1800), Dak Prescott (+2200), and Lamar Jackson (+2200) round up the top seven.

Offensive Player of the Year Cooper Kupp and Kyler Murray are at +2500, while Russell Wilson and Jonathan Taylor share +3000

Jalen Hurts, Deebo Samuel, and Derek Carr all come before Brady at +4000.

Is Brady Coming Back?

The five-time Super Bowl MVP kept on leaving some bread crumbs on whether he will return to action.

For now, he is adamant that he won’t play football anymore.

However, he did state that he won’t rule out a comeback.

But will that comeback be as soon as the 2022 NFL season?

Caesars is laying an intrigue, hoping to earn more bets because Brady is still a great choice if he ends up returning.

After all, he finished second in the MVP race to Rodgers in 2021.

Still, the chips might not fall the same way in 2022 and another player might emerge.

For those who are looking to win big, the safe bet isn’t on Brady.

Blue Jays Make A Shocking Decision On Alek Manoah

In 2021, when he made his MLB debut with the Toronto Blue Jays, Alek Manoah looked like a star with a 3.22 ERA in 111.2 innings.

He fulfilled that promise last year, when his spectacular 2.24 ERA in 196.2 frames gave him a place among the three AL Cy Young finalists.

Things went south in 2023, though.

South, as in really south.

After conceding a whopping six earned runs and seven hits while getting just one out in his most recent outing against the Houston Astros, the team decided to send him down.

It wasn’t to Triple-A or Double-A, though: the Jays are sending him to the rookie-level Florida Complex League.

Evidently, Toronto wants Manoah away from the spotlight at the moment as he works through some issues.

Mainly, he has had severe control issues (he has handed out 6.52 walks per nine innings this year, up from just 2.33 last season) and allowed too much hard contact.

It has all resulted in an ugly 6.36 ERA in 58 frames in the current campaign.

Manoah is much, much better than that, and if there is no injury, he should be able to bounce back eventually as the team and the pitcher spot what’s wrong.

The Blue Jays need the best version of Manoah if they are going to make a deep playoff push this year.

There are other really talented pitchers on the staff but Manoah, when he is on, is probably the best of the bunch.

There is no word on how long he will stay in the Complex League, but no matter where he is, his priority should be getting himself right.
