NFL fans might be undergoing separation anxiety after Super Bowl LVI.

It’s the first of many Sundays that there won’t be competitive football.

Their weekend routine will drastically change now that a new NFL calendar is about to start.

Offseason activities like the draft and training camp may help compensate for the misery of not having football.

But those events could never compare to the actual games.

That’s why several NFL personalities expressed their sorrow through tweets.

Pro Football Focus reporter Ari Meirov said, “Sundays are so empty without football.”

It has been the way of life from August to January that not having games is borderline depressing.

PFF also devotes their attention from grading player performances to ranking draft prospects.

Meanwhile, online sportsbook FanDuel also summarized how football fans feel during the offseason.

They showed a video of 90 Day Fiance’s Big Ed teary-eyed while packing up his suitcase before saying, “It just hit me.”

Fans might not be as exaggerated but the pain they’re feeling is somewhat similar.

It would be fascinating to conduct a survey on how fans fill in the hours without football.

Perhaps they could finally work on some home restoration projects that they’ve postponed during the season.

There’s also a chance that they continue to tailgate even if there’s no game to watch or team to cheer.

Fans may also console each other for not having football, just like this tweet.

The video shows a dejected Stephen A. Smith looking at the sea and getting a hug from ESPN First Take co-host Molly Qerim.

Could there be a therapy session they go through to address the longing for football?

It will be a long wait before the 2022 NFL season starts.

If they want to scratch the football itch, perhaps the USFL would suffice.
