NFL Teams Reportedly Share A Belief About Aaron Rodgers’ Trade Value

Aaron Rodgers is still the starting quarterback of the Green Bay Packers right now, but everyone believes it is inevitable that he will be going to the New York Jets via trade.

It’s what he wants, and the two teams simply need to work out the terms of a trade, which will include a good amount of draft compensation.

Some think the Packers will demand at least one first-round draft pick in return, but some other NFL teams think all Rodgers is worth at this point is a lower draft pick.

Rodgers is still a good quarterback, but his production took a hit this past season as he turned 39 years of age.

He threw for 3,695 yards and 26 touchdowns while posting a passer rating of 91.1, numbers that were a bit lackluster by his standards.

Remember, it was as recently as 2020 and 2021 that he won back-to-back league MVPs while leading the league in touchdown passes and completion percentage in 2020.

The question is whether his dip in production in 2022 was due to wear and tear or simply because he didn’t have star wide receiver Davante Adams by his side anymore.

If and when Rodgers heads to New York, he would be joining a very interesting team that has several young stars, such as wide receiver Garrett Wilson, the reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year, and All-Pro cornerback Sauce Gardner, who was named Defensive Rookie of the Year.

In addition, the Jets recently added Allen Lazard, one of Green Bay’s top wideouts over the last couple of years.

Mexican Foreign Relations Secretary Marcelo Ebrard and Mexican Olympic Committee president Maria Jose Alcala met Friday with IOC president Thomas Bach. Ebrard delivered a letter of intent to Bach.

A city or region wasn’t specified but Ebrard and Alcala said a committee would be formed to support the initiative.

Last October, International Olympic Committee director general Christophe De Kepper said they were talking to “10 interested NOCs and regions across four continents” regarding potential candidacies for future Summer Games. The 2036 edition is the next available to be awarded.
