Did Tom Brady have a hand in Bruce Arians’ resignation as Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach?

That’s hard to believe, considering that the quarterback had an appreciation post about his former mentor on Instagram.

Brady said in that post, “Thank you, BA for all that you have done for me and our team. You are an incredible man and coach, and it was a privilege to play for you.”

The 44-year-old quarterback also described Arians as smart, tough, and loyal.

In some ways, that’s high praise for the coach that helped him win Super Bowl LV.

But those words may also be Brady’s way of describing Arians’ true nature.

Did he call him smart because he allegedly belittled the game plan that he and offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich built?

Was Arians’ demanding nature the reason behind their falling out?

Finally, did the coach remain loyal to the team’s cause because he stepped out to have Brady back?

While these are all speculations, Pro Football Talk pointed out an interesting thought.

They tweeted, “The fact that no one is suggesting that Tom Brady would even be remotely upset over his head coach resigning only 17 days after Brady unretired says plenty.”

Brady The Puppet Master?

The seven-time Super Bowl winner won’t express his frustration regarding that matter for two reasons.

First, he wants to keep an image that he supported Arians, hence the Instagram post.

Second, he had something to do with the coach’s transfer to a front-office role.

Winning does give an athlete certain privileges, from negotiating a new contract to calling the shots.

Therefore, it’s possible that Brady unretired when he confirmed that Arians won’t be the head coach anymore.

With Todd Bowles at the helm, he and Leftwich can continue to work on the offense without being undermined.
