It’s been almost 10 years since Mo’ne Davis went on her streak of complete dominance on the mound in the Little League World Series.

That took place back in 2014.

She amazed those around her and everyone all over the baseball world.

But nearly a decade later, she is still heavily involved in the game of baseball, including MLB’s “Play Ball’ initiative.

With Wednesday being National Girls and Women in Sports Day, MLB Network analyst Alanna Rizzo got a chance to catch up with Davis to see what the former pitcher has been up to.

Davis revealed that she recently completed in internship out in California and is working to become a sports broadcaster.

When asked about who she tries to emulate as a budding broadcaster, Davis mentioned Julie Foudy, who works as an announcer for the Little League World Series.

Davis commented on how Foudy’s energy seems to rub off on everybody and how she does her best to make everybody feel a part of what is taking place.

The former pitcher was then asked about what she remembered the most about competing in the Little League World Series back in 2014.

She responded by saying that she remembers more of what took place off the field than on the field, even going as far as saying that from the first game, she didn’t have any recollection or memory of the second through the fifth inning.

But what she did remember was her experience and how she got a chance to make connections during the series.

Davis finished the interview by saying that in recent years, society has come a long way in terms of the inclusion of women in sports, but that there still is much work to be done, while expressing her hope to continue that work and get more women involved in sports.
