Who’s Playing

Nebraska @ Michigan State

Current Records: Nebraska 6-8; Michigan State 12-2

What to Know

The Nebraska Cornhuskers have enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they must head out on the road. Nebraska and the #10 Michigan State Spartans will face off in a Big Ten battle at 7 p.m. ET on Wednesday at Jack Breslin Student Events Center. The Cornhuskers haven’t won a game against the Spartans since Jan. 20 of 2016, but they’ll be looking to end the drought.

Nebraska came up short against the Ohio State Buckeyes on Sunday, falling 87-79. Despite the defeat, Nebraska got a solid performance out of forward Derrick Walker, who posted a double-double on 15 points and ten boards.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn’t a dominant performance, MSU beat the Northwestern Wildcats 73-67 on Sunday. MSU got double-digit scores from four players: forward Gabe Brown (20), forward Marcus Bingham Jr. (13), guard Max Christie (11), and forward Joey Hauser (10).

Michigan State’s victory lifted them to 12-2 while Nebraska’s loss dropped them down to 6-8. We’ll see if the Spartans can repeat their recent success or if the Cornhuskers bounce back and reverse their fortune.
