Maple Leafs to start Kallgren vs. Jets; Mrazek out six weeks; Lyubushkin, Campbell won’t dress

The Toronto Maple Leafs will turn to Erik Källgren in goal for Thursday’s game against the Winnipeg Jets.

Källgren occupied the home net during the team’s morning skate. Michael Hutchinson was also on the ice and will dress as his backup after the Leafs made him an emergency recall.

The Leafs also said that backup Petr Mrazek, who left Tuesday’s game against Boston with a groin injury, his third of the season, will be sidelined six weeks.

Ilya Lyubushkin was on the ice working with skills coach Nik Antropov but left before practice began. Lyubushkin left Tuesday’s game against the Boston Bruins when Taylor Hall appeared to punch the defenceman in the side of the head from behind and then shoved him down to the ice after. Hall was fined $5,000 by the league for the infraction.

Justin Holl was back at practice, skating on a regular pairing with Mark Giordano. The 30-year-old was injured when a puck struck him in the side of the head after he had fallen in front of the Maple Leafs net.

Jack Campbell (rib) was not present Thursday after taking part in his first full practice with the team earlier this week, and head coach Sheldon Keefe said he was day-to-day, but Campbell has been cleared medically.
