Both Penny Hardaway and Tracy McGrady are two of the best to ever suit up for the Orlando Magic.

As a way to toy with their fans, the team took to Twitter to ask a very difficult and controversial question.

The question was simple: Would you rather play with prime Penny Hardaway or prime Tracy McGrady?

As you can expect, the answers from followers were divided.

Penny Vs. TMac

It’s really unfair to pit two great players against each other but that’s what the internet is for so you can’t be too shocked by the Magic’s question.

When you look squarely at stats, McGrady is only slightly ahead.

He’s a seven-time NBA All-Star and was All-NBA First-Team twice.

Additionally, he won the NBA Most Improved Player award in 2001 and was a two-time scoring champion too.

Of course, Hardaway was no slouch either.

He was a four-time All-Star and two-time All-NBA First-Team too.

McGrady ended up with 18,381 points in his career, with an average of 19.6 per game.

Hardaway, on the other hand, scored 10,684 with an average of 15.2 points per game.

Both McGrady and Hardaway have been hailed by their peers as some of the best of their generation.

In fact, Paul Pierce once said that McGrady was one of the most difficult players to ever guard.

The fact that both McGrady and Hardaway both spent time with the Magic just goes to show how much history the team has…even if they’re not doing incredibly well these days.

While many Twitter users had a tough time deciding who they would rather play with in their prime, everyone can agree just how special these two players were.
