The Liberty Flames and the Boyce Bulldogs will round out the year against one another at 1 p.m. ET on Friday at Liberty Arena. Liberty is out to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
The Flames were within striking distance but couldn’t close the gap this past Saturday as they fell 80-75 to the Brigham Young Cougars. A silver lining for Liberty was the play of guard Darius McGhee, who had 29 points and five assists.
Meanwhile,’s it’s hard to picture a worse defeat than the 90-29 bruising that the Bulldogs suffered against the App. State Mountaineers four weeks ago.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. Check back to see which squad is able to work their way into the win column.
The Denver Nuggets have assembled a very strong squad over the last few years.
They boast two-time reigning regular season MVP Nikola Jokic, a throwback wide-bodied center who is a load to deal with in the paint but can also handle the ball and facilitate a bit like some other modern big men.
In the backcourt, they have Jamal Murray, who has become an All-Star caliber point guard and has shown some ability to go off in big games.
