Although he hasn’t played a game with the Philadelphia 76ers, James Harden is obviously having an impact on his new team, including with Joel Embiid.

On Tuesday night, Embiid attempted some of the fancy footwork that Harden is known for and…it didn’t go very well.

Embiid tried to do the step-back shot that Harden has landed a million times and was immediately called for traveling.

Embiid’s embarrassing moment is actually good and bad.

It is good because it shows he is fired up about his new teammate and is obviously taking notes from him but it also shows that perhaps Embiid can’t do everything he wants on the floor.

A Match Made In Heaven

Fans of the 76ers are beyond excited about Harden joining the team and really see this as the beginning of a bright new era for the team.

The idea of Harden playing alongside Embiid has many tails wagging in Philly.

But it remains to be seen how well these two will mesh.

There is a chance that their play-styles could really complement each other but there is also a possibility that it just won’t work.

This is especially true since Harden is known to greatly favor iso ball and loves to essentially be a one-man show on the floor.

That’s not the sort of style that will work in Philly so he will need to adjust – something he didn’t do well while playing for the Brooklyn Nets.

Still, Harden seems really elated to be with Philadelphia, and Embiid is obviously jazzed to have him on board too.

There is a lot of hope that the rest of Philly’s season will go much smoother than Embiid’s attempt at the step-back shot.
