Through 2 Quarters

Fans are certainly getting their money’s worth as the Portland Trail Blazers and the Memphis Grizzlies have combined for 128 points two quarters in. Portland has emerged as the frontrunner and is ahead of Memphis 68-60.

The Trail Blazers’ score has come on a group effort, with scores from shooting guard Josh Hart (13 points), center Jusuf Nurkic (13 points), shooting guard Anfernee Simons (13 points), small forward Justise Winslow (12 points), and shooting guard Ben McLemore (12 points). A double-double would be Jusuf Nurkic’s eighth in a row. One thing to keep an eye out for is CJ Elleby’s foul situation as he currently sits at three.

Point guard Ja Morant has done his best for Memphis, currently boasting 27 points (45% of their total) and five assists along with two rebounds.

What to Know

After three games on the road, the Memphis Grizzlies are heading back home. They will square off against the Portland Trail Blazers at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday at FedExForum. Portland will need to watch out since the Grizz has now posted big point totals in their last six contests.

The Grizzlies had enough points to win and then some against the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday, taking their contest 121-109. The Grizz’s point guard Tyus Jones looked sharp as he had 27 points and nine assists.

Meanwhile, the Trail Blazers strolled past the Milwaukee Bucks with points to spare on Monday, taking the matchup 122-107. Portland relied on the efforts of shooting guard Josh Hart, who shot 5-for-9 from beyond the arc and finished with 27 points, five dimes and seven boards, and shooting guard Anfernee Simons, who shot 7-for-16 from downtown and finished with 31 points and six assists.

The Grizz is the favorite in this one, with an expected 11.5-point margin of victory. They might be worth taking a chance on against the spread as they are currently on a six-game streak of ATS wins.

Their wins bumped the Grizz to 41-18 and Rip City to 24-34. After the lofty point totals in their previous games, we’ll see if they’re able to heat things up even more while facing each other.

Celtics Get Good Injury News Ahead Of Game 7

The Boston Celtics were forced to play without Malcolm Brogdon in Saturday’s must-win clash vs. the Miami Heat.

Now, according to CBS, Joe Mazzulla could have the reigning Sixth Man of the Year back on the floor for today’s crucial Game 7.

Brogdon has reportedly been playing through an injured elbow and forearm, and he’s struggled mightily with his shot from games 3 to 5.

He’s reportedly available to play as per usual in today’s matchup, but whether Mazzulla and the Celtics’ medical staff allow him to be on the floor for heavy minutes remains to be seen.

Brogdon’s addition was one of the biggest moves of the offseason, and his presence has done wonders for the 17-time NBA champions.

His basketball IQ and ability to contribute on both ends of the floor were huge for the second unit, although he was also touted with the task of being a starter multiple times.

Brogdon gives the Celtics some much-needed positional versatility on defense and offense.

His length allows him to guard multiple positions, and he can play on and off the ball as either a primary playmaker and facilitator or as a slasher.

The Heat aren’t as deep as the Celtics and that could be a decisive factor in Game 7.

Tired legs can be tricky at this point in the season, and having one of the best substitutes in the game ready to lead the way while the starters get a breather could be key for a team that’s on the verge of making NBA history.

The Miami Heat Have Reportedly Already Made Plans After Game 7

Published

Pat Riley and Erik Spoelstra know one thing about motivation and developing a winning culture, which is why they’ve been so successful in leading the Miami Heat together.

There are countless stories about Riley and his pitches to free agency, and coach Spoelstra isn’t the one to mince his words when tough love is needed in that locker room.

Their tactics were again on full display ahead of tonight’s Game 7 in Boston, as NBA insider Andy Slater recently reported that the team scheduled a flight to Denver — not Miami — right after the game.

The organization is clearly trying to send a stern message and flip the switch ahead of their most crucial game of the season: If you don’t think we’re going to win tonight, don’t even bother getting on that plane.

The Heat have already proven that they’re capable of taking down the best teams in the league; they’ve done it multiple times, and not just in this year’s playoffs.

Coach Spoelstra is one of the top-notch tacticians in the league as well, and he knows he needs to be at his best tonight if he wants to put his team in a position to avoid another heartbreaking loss.

It’s not usual to see a team like the Heat or a coach like Spoelstra losing four games in a row, let alone to the very same rival.

And if this isn’t motivating enough for them to get the job done, then nothing will do the trick at this point.

Courtside Tickets For Celtics, Heat Game 7 Are Going For Unbelievable Price

It doesn’t get any better than an NBA Game 7.

The Boston Celtics will look to punch their tickets to the NBA Finals for the second year in a row, and they’re one of the most popular franchises in the sports industry.

That’s why it’s not surprising to see that courtside tickets for today’s must-win clash are going for as high as $35,000, according to TickPick.

It’s only normal to see people paying up for a chance to witness history in the making.

The Celtics can become the first team to come back from a 0-3 series deficit in the history of the NBA playoffs, not to mention the fact that a win in the NBA Finals would make them the winningest team in NBA history again.

It’s crazy to see how much money some people are willing to spend on sports memorabilia, tickets, and whatnot, but some people literally save their entire lives to have a chance to witness something like this.

Also, courtside tickets are usually for wealthy people, businessmen, or celebrities, so it’s not like the average person will be paying that much money in today’s game.

Whatever the case, whether you’re at home or in the last row, this will be a must-watch game for hoops fans all over the world, and that’s why we love this league so much.
