The Sam Houston Bearkats have enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they must head out on the road. The Bearkats and the Chicago State Cougars will face off in a WAC battle at 3 p.m. ET on Saturday at Jones Convocation Center.
Sam Houston was close but no cigar on Saturday as they fell 57-54 to the Utah Valley Wolverines. The contest was as close as the oddsmakers predicted, but Sam Houston had been the slight favorite coming in.
Meanwhile, Chicago State has to be hurting after a devastating 81-61 defeat at the hands of the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks on Thursday. Chicago State was surely aware of their 12.5-point disadvantage in the point spread, but the foreknowledge did nothing to prevent the result.
