Ajax won 3-1 against Borussia Dortmund three weeks ago. Less fortunate on Matchday 4, Besiktas lost 4-0 to Sporting CP three weeks ago. Right now, Ajax (12 points) leads Group C, while Besiktas (zero points) is last in the group. Recall that only the top two teams in the group will advance to the knockout phase.

A win for Ajax would keep them securely in first. Besiktas needs to shift into gear; even with a win here, they will still be rounding out the group.
