Who’s Playing
Brooklyn @ Miami
Current Records: Brooklyn 29-26; Miami 36-20
What to Know
The Miami Heat will be returning home after a six-game road trip. They will take on the Brooklyn Nets at 8 p.m. ET Saturday at FTX Arena. The Heat will be strutting in after a win while Brooklyn will be stumbling in from a defeat.
Miami didn’t have too much trouble with the New Orleans Pelicans on the road on Thursday as they won 112-97. Small forward Jimmy Butler and center Bam Adebayo were among the main playmakers for Miami as the former had 29 points along with eight rebounds and the latter dropped a double-double on 29 points and ten boards.
Meanwhile, Brooklyn was just a bucket shy of a victory on Thursday and fell 113-112 to the Washington Wizards. Despite the loss, Brooklyn had strong showings from point guard Kyrie Irving, who had 31 points and six assists in addition to five boards, and shooting guard Cameron Thomas, who had 27 points.
The Heat are the favorite in this one, with an expected 10.5-point margin of victory. They might be worth taking a chance on against the spread as they are currently on a four-game streak of ATS wins.
Miami had enough points to win and then some against the Nets in the teams’ previous meeting last October, taking their game 106-93. Will Miami repeat their success, or does Brooklyn have a better game plan this time around? We’ll find out soon enough.
