Florida Atlantic vs. Middle Tenn.: How to watch NCAA Football online, TV channel, live stream info, game time

Published

Through 2 Quarters

The Middle Tenn. Blue Raiders typically have all the answers at home, but the Florida Atlantic Owls are posing a tough problem. The Owls have emerged as the frontrunner at halftime and are ahead of Middle Tenn. 14-3. Florida Atlantic took a hit to their ego last week, so a victory here would be a pleasant pick-me-up.

Florida Atlantic has been riding high on the performance of QB N’Kosi Perry, who has passed for two TDs and 133 yards on 21 attempts. Perry’s performance is making up for a slower contest against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers.

Florida Atlantic and Middle Tenn. both experienced trouble in their last games, but one is bound to make up for it today. The Owls are out front, but they can’t get complacent.

Who’s Playing

Middle Tenn. @ Florida Atlantic

Current Records: Middle Tenn. 5-6; Florida Atlantic 5-6

What to Know

The Middle Tenn. Blue Raiders have enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they must head out on the road. The Blue Raiders and the Florida Atlantic Owls will face off in a Conference USA battle at 7 p.m. ET Saturday at FAU Stadium. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they’ll have plenty of motivation to get the ‘W.’

It was all tied up 10-10 at halftime, but Middle Tenn. was not quite the Old Dominion Monarchs’ equal in the second half when they met last week. Middle Tenn. took a 24-17 hit to the loss column. That makes it the first time this season they have let down their home crowd. No one had a standout game offensively for the Blue Raiders, but QB Mike DiLiello led the way with one touchdown.

Meanwhile, there’s no need to mince words: Florida Atlantic lost to the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers last week, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 52-17. Florida Atlantic was in a tough position by the half, with the score already sitting at 31-10. One thing working slightly against Florida Atlantic was the run-of-the-mill game of their most targeted running back, RB Johnny Ford, who rushed for 43 yards on 13 carries.

Middle Tenn. is expected to lose this next one by 3.5. Those burned by picking them against the spread last week might want to keep in mind that the team has not yet dropped back-to-back games against the spread this season.

The losses bumped both teams down to an identical 5-6. The Blue Raiders and the Owls are both 3-2 after wins this year, but that symmetry won’t hold for long.

The Portland Trail Blazers are running out of time to trade superstar Damian Lillard.

Portland has reportedly been trying to find a deal for Lillard before the start of training camp, but because of their high asking price, they’ve been unable to find a trade partner.

The Miami Heat have long been considered to be the most likely team to land Lillard, though they don’t have the required assets to entice the Trail Blazers.

With Miami unable to make an attractive enough offer, Portland’s been entertaining other teams’ interest.

There have been several teams who have reportedly shown interest in Lillard, including the Toronto Raptors.

Toronto has a history of being unafraid to trade for a star and it appears they’re serious about exploring the possibility of acquiring Lillard via NBA insider Marc Stein.

“The Toronto Raptors have convinced numerous teams around the league that their interest in trading for Lillard is genuine,” Stein said.

Masai Ujiri shocked the NBA when he decided to go after Kawhi Leonard and his gamble worked as the Raptors won their first-ever NBA Championship.

With a win-now roster headlined by Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby, Ujiri could be angling to trade for Lillard and see if he can repeat his luck.

However, as Stein notes it seems as though Lillard isn’t interested in going to Toronto and remains steadfast in trying to make his way to Miami.

With training camp a few weeks away, it’ll be interesting to see what Portland ends up doing with its All-Star guard.

Broncos Player Sounds Off After Embarrassing Loss To Dolphins

After a tumultuous 2022 NFL season, the Denver Broncos came into 2023 hoping that they would be able to turn things around.

However, things have only somehow managed to get worse as the Broncos were just embarrassed in Week 3 by the Miami Dolphins.

Despite being at home, Denver lacked any sort of energy or urgency as they allowed Miami to push them around on both sides of the field and light up the scoreboard in the process.

Now at 0-3, the Broncos already look like a team that’s going to be missing the playoffs unless they’re somehow able to rattle off an improbable win streak.

Some of the mainstays of the roster can’t be happy with the direction of the organization as there isn’t a clear answer on how to fix things.

Garrett Bolles has been a part of several bad Broncos rosters and he couldn’t help but air out his frustrations after getting blown out by Miami via Scott Gange of 9NEWS Denver.

“I’ve been here for seven years and all I’ve done is lost,” Bolles said.

Bolles doesn’t mince words in the clip and as his face says he is clearly fed up with how much the team has lost over the years.

The once-proud franchise has looked rudderless and players like Bolles look like they’re ready to quit at any moment as losing can wear on anyone who considers themselves competitive.

Should it be another lost season for the Broncos, serious changes have to be made otherwise the organization will continue to toil toward the bottom of the standings and alienate their fans further.
