Fantasy football waiver wire, Week 11 picks: Top players to add include Cam Newton, Rhamondre Stevenson

Published

on

For many Fantasy football players, getting quality production from the tight end position can seem like a constant struggle. Those who do not roster Travis Kelce or Mark Andrews often get frustrated with the output from most players at the thinnest position in the game. But there are some new performers emerging that are showing signs that they may be able to provide at least decent totals. Minnesota’s Tyler Conklin has been coming on strong and scored twice in Week 10. Jacksonville’s Dan Arnold has frequently been scoring in double figures in PPR leagues in recent weeks.

Should Conklin or Arnold be among your primary Week 11 Fantasy football waiver wire picks? And which other players on Fantasy football waivers are worth adding to plug roster holes created by other injuries or bye weeks? Before determining who to target on the Week 11 Fantasy football waiver wire, be sure to see what SportsLine’s resident Hall of Famer, Scott Engel, has to say.

Engel is an inaugural member of the Fantasy Sports Writers Association’s Hall of Fame. He is a four-time FSWA Award Winner and 10-time nominee. In 2020, Scott was a finalist for the FSWA Fantasy Football Writer of the Year Award, which he also won previously.

In addition to being the Fantasy writer for the Seattle Seahawks‘ official site since 2012, Engel’ work has appeared on The Athletic, SiriusXM FantasySports Radio, ESPN.com, NFL.com, the Associated Press, Yahoo Sports, SI.com, the New York Post, USA Today, RotoBaller, and of course, CBSSports.com. So far this season, Engel has recommended high-impact players such as Cordarrelle PattersonDawson Knox and Khalil Herbert ahead of their breakout performances,

Now, he’s revealed the best widely available Fantasy football free agents entering Week 11. You can see his top Fantasy NFL waiver wire picks and full analysis over at SportsLine

Top Fantasy football waiver wire picks for Week 11

One player Engel is advising Fantasy players to target on the Week 11 waiver wire: Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton. The Panthers thought they may have solved their QB issues when they acquired Sam Darnold, but he struggled often before landing on injured reserve with a shoulder issue that might end his season. Carolina then quickly determined that their former superstar QB would be the best choice to take over, and signed Newton last week. He made an immediate impact in his first game back in a Panthers uniform.

Newton did not start vs. Arizona on Sunday, but he was activated and inserted into goal-line packages. He delivered on his opportunities, with both a rushing score and a TD pass. Now Newton is reportedly being prepared to start in Week 11. He is definitely back on the Fantasy radar because he still has significant promise as a runner. Yet Newton is a question mark as a passer, so Engel tells you how aggressively to pursue him in free agency in any format.

Engel is also strongly recommending New England running back Rhamondre Stevenson. The Patriots rookie rushed for 100 yards and two TDs against the Browns on Sunday. Stevenson took on the lead RB role when Harris was ruled out. He took full advantage of the opportunity and was the second-highest scoring RB on the Sunday Fantasy slate.

Stevenson showed signs of promise in the preseason. He is a big back who also displays some speed and burst on the perimeter as a runner. He could start again in Week 11 and may carry a significant load again as the Patriots take on the Falcons. Harris might sit out again, as New England plays on a short week, with the Atlanta matchup next on Thursday.

How to set your Week 11 waiver wire claims

Engel is also all-in on a wide receiver who should be an immediate pickup. This player is widely available and could be a huge boost to your Fantasy football lineup. You can only see who it is at SportsLine.
