The highs and lows for the Dallas Cowboys in Week 8.

What a game! The Dallas Cowboys took us all on a roller coaster ride in Week 8 when they hit the road to take on the Minnesota Vikings. From start to finish they had us on the edge of our seats and it wasn’t until the final seconds ticked off the clock we could finally let out a sigh of relief.

The Dallas Cowboys extended their win streak to six in a row after their 20-16 victory over the Vikings on Sunday Night Football. From the get-go there was plenty of highs and lows and everything in between. With that in mind, let’s get to this week’s edition of the good, the bad, and the ugly from the Cowboys Week 8 matchup against the Vikings.

THE GOOD – Cooper Rush

Raise your hand if you believed Cooper Rush was capable of leading the Dallas Cowboys to victory in Week 8 against the Minnesota Vikings. Many of us doubted the Cowboys QB2, but boy did he prove us wrong. He ended up completing 24 of 40 passes for 325 yards and two touchdowns with a QBR of 100.7. And, his game-clinching TD pass to Amari Cooper was a thing of beauty. He wasn’t perfect, but he was good enough to get the Cowboys the “W”.

THE BAD – Too many penalties

It’s becoming a reoccurring theme for the Dallas Cowboys to have multiple penalties each and every week no matter who they’re playing. Sure some of them are highly questionable, however, the majority of them are self-inflicted. If the Cowboys want to keep on with their winning ways they must eliminate some of the yellow laundry on game days. If they can do that they will be a much more dangerous team.

THE UGLY – A win is a win, even an ugly one

Not all wins can be pretty ones. The Dallas Cowboys have proven that the last couple of games they’ve played. It took an overtime victory to overcome the New England Patriots in Week 6 and a last-minute touchdown in Week 8 to beat the Minnesota Vikings, but in the end the Cowboys were able to outlast both teams. We would all prefer they blow out their opponents each and every week, however, getting that “W” is all that really matters.

As we do every week we put together highlights from the latest Dallas Cowboys win over on the Blogging The Boys YouTube Channel. Make sure to subscribe to our channel (which you can do right here) so you don’t miss any of our videos!
