Charles Woodson is in the rare NFL club of players to win the Heisman Trophy and a Super Bowl championship.

Those achievements alone should put him on the NFL’s 100th Anniversary All-Time Team.

Unfortunately, he wasn’t on the list which was announced in 2019.

Looking at the ones who made it, Woodson does have the case of inclusion, especially if Aeneas Williams, Darrelle Revis, and Patrick Peterson were on the list.

The Hall of Famer isn’t over his exclusion, and festivities from another sport opened the old wound.

The 18-year NFL veteran must have been watching the 2022 NBA All-Star Game because part of its halftime showcase was the honoring of the league’s 75 Anniversary All-Time Team.

That said, he used Twitter to share his emotions, saying: “Watching the top 75 @nba be announced tonight actually had me in my feelings that I wasn’t one of the 100 all time @nfl players.. There I said it, I guess you can’t have it all. Good night.”

His statement undoubtedly sounds like a man who’s not over the omission and he has strong credentials to become one of the NFL’s best players of all time.

Put Charles Woodson In The Next List

The time will come when the NFL has to add more names to the list.

When that happens, they must not miss out on Woodson.

Not getting enough nods from the selection committee shouldn’t be the case.

After all, he is a four-time First-Team All-Pro and a nine-time Second-Team All-Pro.

He also led the league in interceptions twice and was the 2009 Defensive Player of the Year.

Woodson also made it to nine Pro Bowls and the 2000s All-Decade Team.

If those achievements are not enough to include him, then the list isn’t credible.
