Central Michigan vs. Kent State: How to watch online, live stream info, game time, TV channel

Published

Who’s Playing

Kent State @ Central Michigan

Current Records: Kent State 5-4; Central Michigan 5-4

What to Know

The Central Michigan Chippewas and the Kent State Golden Flashes are set to square off in a Mid-American matchup at 8 p.m. ET Nov. 10 at Kelly/Shorts Stadium. Keep an eye on the score for this one: these two teams posted some lofty points totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more when they meet Wednesday.

The Chippewas bagged a 42-30 victory over the Western Michigan Broncos last Wednesday. CMU’s RB Lew Nichols III did his thing and rushed for two TDs and 163 yards on 26 carries. Nichols III’s longest run was for 61 yards in the second quarter.

Meanwhile, Kent State didn’t have too much breathing room in their matchup with the Northern Illinois Huskies last week, but they still walked away with a 52-47 win. Yes, you read that final score correctly. And yes, they were playing football. QB Dustin Crum had a dynamite game for Kent State; he passed for two TDs and 322 yards on 30 attempts in addition to rushing for two TDs and 72 yards.

This next game is expected to be close, with CMU going off at just a 2.5-point favorite. Those who got lucky with them against the spread last Wednesday might want to hold off on placing bets this time since the team has yet to string together back-to-back wins against the spread.

The wins brought CMU up to 5-4 and the Golden Flashes to 5-4. Two defensive numbers to keep in mind before kickoff: The Chippewas are stumbling into the contest with the 206th most passing touchdowns allowed in the nation, having given up 17 on the season. Kent State has experienced some struggles of their own as they are 244th worst in the nation in rushing touchdowns allowed, with 25 on the season. It’s possible one of these Achilles’ heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.

Reds Fan Calls Out A Frustrating Spring Training Fact

Published

MLB spring training games will start on February 24.

Pitchers and catchers, however, will report to camp in a matter of days.

At long last, we can say with confidence that baseball is almost back!

That’s actually exciting news for most team’s fanbases.

However, Cincinnati Reds fans have to see how their owners throw away yet another year.

Their roster is mediocre, they have traded most of their talent in the last two years, and there is virtually no hope of contending this year for Reds fans.

As a result, the on-field product is not really that interesting for TV companies.

On Monday, Bally Sports Ohio announced that it will carry seven 2023 Reds spring training games.

A Reds fan compared that to the number of games available for other team’s fans and couldn’t help to voice his frustration.

“Some teams have 30 spring training games available to their fans. The Reds consistently have 6-8 broadcasts during the spring. Incredibly frustrating that you can stream high school junior varsity games but MLB games in spring training? Good luck,” Doug Gray tweeted.

We have said this several times, but here we go again: MLB can’t even think of competing with other professional leagues and sports for ratings and popularity as long as it doesn’t make sure that their product is mostly (and easily) available to fans.

Nobody knows exactly why the Reds don’t have more games available to their fans, but all parties need to find common ground to make sure supporters have a long list of games to watch.

The Reds might not be that good in 2023, but they do have a loyal fanbase that wants to watch how young players and prospects fare in spring training play.

Fans deserve to watch as many games as they want.

Davante Adams Comments On His Wild Offseason Ahead

Published

on

Davante Adams has been through a lot in the last 12 months.

He said goodbye to the Green Bay Packers, which was the team that drafted him.

Adams then joined the Las Vegas Raiders to reunite with his college roommate Derek Carr, who is leaving the team after just one season together.

At the Pro Bowl, Adams was asked about the situation and provided context to many rumors that have been floating around.

Adams has publicly shown his support for Aaron Rodgers to join the Raiders, now that Carr will be leaving the team.

Rodgers has been scrutinized in the public eye as of late, given the fact that he is likely to leave the Packers.

Many have pointed to a Rodgers-Adams reunion as a solution to the Raiders’ recent woes.

The Raiders have not won a playoff game since 2002, long before Carr joined the team.

Despite adding Adams, and having many stars on the defensive side of the ball, the Raiders haven’t found a groove in the past several seasons.

A player of Rodgers’ caliber would dramatically increase their chances of winning a playoff game.

The Raiders, however, still have to deal with Carr’s contract.

Carr is tied to the team until 2024.

Unless something major changes in the next few months, it looks like the Raiders will be on the hook for most of, if not all of Carr’s contract, even if he is playing on a different team.

The Rodgers, Adams, and Carr saga will be something to monitor in the next several weeks.

We’ll provide updates as we get them.
