Boston Red Sox Had 1 of the Greatest Offensive Games in MLB Playoffs History – Pro Sports Outlook
Published
2 years agoon
When Jordan Luplow hit a first inning grand slam to extend Chris Sale‘s postseason woes, doubt may have began to creep in for the Red Sox as they were in danger of heading home facing a 2-0 series deficit. What followed not only might have saved their season, but constituted a historic offensive showing. Kiké Hernandez had five hits and three RBI’s while Boston’s offense set a franchise record with five bombs and became the first team ever to record at least five HR & 20+ Hits during one playoff game.

MAIN TAKEAWAY
BOSTON RED SOX HAD 1 OF THE GREATEST OFFENSIVE GAMES IN MLB PLAYOFFS HISTORY
COLORS KEY | FULL RED SOX OUTLOOK
Boston has been largely overlooked all year as a result of playing in a division with the Rays, who held the best record in the AL, and the Yankees with their huge payroll and natural expectations. This series is no different, but they have effectively taken home field away from the Rays, and will now try to bring this offensive momentum back to Fenway Park, where Nathan Eovaldi will match up with Drew Rasmussen on Sunday afternoon after a historic outing in Game 2.
It was an incredible offensive display for Boston, as they became the first team in postseason history to rack up 20 or more hits and five or more home runs during a single game while breaking their franchise playoff record with five dingers. Hernandez also set an individual Red Sox record, becoming the first Sox player to have four extra base hits in a playoff game and the records didn’t stop there as seen in the INTERESTING FACTS section above. It was truly one of the best offensive outings in MLB Playoff history.

Randy Arozarena is Already 1 of the Greatest Postseason HR Hitters of All-Time – Pro Sports Outlook
Published
2 years agoon
November 6, 2021
Postseason legends become household names and Randy Arozarena is joining that elite category that features names such as Mariano Rivera and Reggie Jackson. Arozarena is quickly becoming one of the greatest postseason HR hitters of all time despite technically being a 2021 rookie. The rise of Randy Arozarena has been one of the best stories in 2020 and 2021 and he has become a prominent player due to his October heroics that continued in ALDS Game 1 vs. Boston.

MAIN TAKEAWAY
RANDY AROZARENA IS ALREADY 1 OF THE GREATEST POSTSEASON HR HITTERS OF ALL-TIME
COLORS KEY | FULL RAYS OUTLOOK
Randy Arozarena continues to dominate in October and is one of the most prolific postseason players in MLB history. His performance during the 2020 playoffs was outstanding and his success has continued into the 2021 playoffs. While he was one of MLB’s most unheralded players just a year ago, his rise continues to amaze, especially given that he was a throw-in for Minor League prospect Matthew Liberatore in a trade with the Cardinals, who has yet to pitch in the MLB.
One of the best things about baseball is how insignificant players can flip the script and become some of MLB’s best players. Justin Turner bounced around the league before joining the Los Angeles Dodgers. Randy Arozarena has found a home in Tampa Bay and is solidifying himself as an elite postseason HR hitter as he’s already Tampa’s all-time postseason HR leader and would lead 21 other franchises as well. Arozarena looks to provide the push Tampa Bay needs to win their first World Series championship in 2021.

In Week 5’s edition of TNF, Aaron Donald became the Rams all-time franchise Sacks leader as they came out on top in a divisional affair with the Seattle Seahawks. The perennial All-Pro and 3x DPOY reached 88.5 sacks on Thursday, surpassing St. Louis Rams legend Leonard Little in the official sacks era (since 1982). Donald has long been considered a top player in the NFL, and this is just another milestone in what will end up being a surefire first-ballot Hall of Fame career.

MAIN TAKEAWAY
3 REASONS WHY AARON DONALD IS BETTER THAN ANY NFL DEFENSIVE TACKLE EVER
COLORS KEY | FULL RAMS OUTLOOK
1. LEVERAGE
Because Aaron Donald is shorter than the average DT and almost every O-Lineman, he has the leverage advantage on almost every snap where he can get under the blocker’s pads and execute the popular football phrase “low man wins”. Something he executes better than anybody who’s ever played the game.
2. STRENGTH
Aaron Donald is far from the average 6’0” male and thus, using his near-superhero strength, he is able to bully his way through offensive lineman, taking the most direct route to the quarterback as he continuously bullrushes weaker Offensive Lineman that have no chance to stop the brute strength the 3x DPOY possesses.
3. QUICKNESS
Even with his incredible strength and power, Donald is also one of the quickest defensive lineman in recent memory. He uses a combination of speed finesse and power moves to easily evade blockers, go from one gap to another in the blink of an eye, and wiggle past opposing blockers with ease.
