Bethune-Cookman came up short against the Air Force Falcons on Sunday, falling 73-65.

Meanwhile, Liberty ended up a good deal behind the Manhattan Jaspers when they played this past Saturday, losing 76-60. If the result catches you off guard, it should: the Flames were far and away the favorite.

The losses put the Wildcats at 1-4 and Liberty at 1-3. Two stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: Bethune-Cookman is stumbling into the matchup with the 17th fewest points per game in college basketball, having accrued only 61.2 on average. Liberty’s defense has more to brag about, as they they enter the game with only 57 points allowed per game on average, good for 28th best in college basketball.
