The 2022 MLB season was a stellar one for New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge.

He had personal bests in batting average (.311), runs scored (133), RBI (131), stolen bases (16), slugging percentage (.686), wRC+ (207), and Wins Above Replacement (WAR – 11.4).

Oh, and he broke the American League home run record that existed since 1961, with 62 home runs.

It was a magical season that wasn’t quite legendary because his Yankees were eliminated (and swept) by the Houston Astros in the AL Championship Series.

Still, power-wise, it was a unique campaign.

What are the odds of him doing it again?

Well, we don’t know about surpassing 60 home runs in 2023 like he did last year, but oddmakers think he has a good chance of repeating as MLB’s homers champion.

Judge has the best odds of leading MLB in round-trippers, at +600.

The next-best odds belong to Toronto Blue Jays slugger and 2021 MVP candidate Vladimir Guerrero Jr., at +1000.

Kyle Schwarber and Mike Trout are also at +1000, as they remain incredibly dangerous hitters (Schwarber led the National League in homers last year and Trout knocked out 40 balls in just 119 games).

Yordan Alvarez and Pete Alonso, two of the game’s best young sluggers, are next at +1200.

Austin Riley and 2021 AL MVP Shohei Ohtani appear next with +2000: both are very much capable of hitting 45 or more home runs.

The top 10 is completed by Riley’s teammate on the Atlanta Braves, Matt Olson, and San Diego Padres dynamic star Fernando Tatis Jr., at +2500.

You can go ahead and consider hitters like Ronald Acuna Jr., Giancarlo Stanton, Paul Goldschmidt, and Nolan Arenado as strong candidates, too.

If he is healthy, though, MLB hitters will have a hard time matching Judge’s projected output.
